A New Chapter for Knockatee Natural Dairy

At Knockatee Natural Dairy, we’re thrilled to share some big news with all of you. Thanks to the ongoing support from our customers and the invaluable guidance from our friend Peter, we've recently taken a huge step forward by completing our new, purpose-built creamery!

Our new facility, designed to expand our production capabilities and create a more streamlined, efficient environment, has been a dream in the making. Moving into this larger space allows us to not only produce more of the cheese you love but also to elevate our standards and processes in ways we’re truly proud of. We began producing cheese at the new site this past July, and after months of careful aging, we’re delighted to have cheese on our shelves once again.

This journey hasn’t been without its challenges, and there were times when the waiting felt endless. But the patience and support of our loyal customers kept us inspired. Knowing that so many of you were eagerly awaiting our cheese made each day in the new facility worthwhile. Now, we’re excited to get back out there—visiting our long-time customers and introducing Knockatee Natural Dairy to new cheese lovers near and far.

The Journey to Our New Creamery

This past couple of years have been a journey filled with both excitement and hurdles for all  at Knockatee Natural Dairy. After years of planning and dreaming, we’re thrilled to announce that our brand-new artisan creamery is officially up and running! Building a larger facility was a long time in the making, and we faced more than a few ups and downs along the way, from COVID delays to supply chain shortages and all kinds of surprises in between. But we are immensely proud to say that our new creamery is everything we’d hoped for and more.

We’ve created a space that not only honours our vision of growth but also holds true to the artisan ways at the heart of our craft. We built this creamery to allow us to continue producing the same quality, award-winning cheese while being able to scale up in a way that respects our roots and traditions.

One of our main motivations for this project was the need for space—and now, we finally have it! With rows of shelves ready to be filled with our carefully crafted cheeses, we’re equipped to meet the growing demand for our unique products. We’ve also upgraded some of our equipment to improve efficiency, allowing us to make more cheese without sacrificing the time-honoured methods that make Knockatee Natural Dairy so special. And we’re not stopping there! We’re planning to add even more equipment over the coming months so that we’re fully prepared for the next production season starting in the springtime.

A Labour of Love

This new creamery wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support of so many people—our family, friends, and of course, our customers. We feel truly blessed to have such an incredible community behind us. To everyone who offered a hand, words of encouragement, or simply shared in our excitement, we’ll be forever grateful.

As spring approaches, we’re chomping at the bit to get back into full production mode with our new setup.
